Conventional fire alarm systems are probably the most common type fire alarm system as their cost and installation suit small and medium residential and business.
Depending on design a fire zones are wired from control panel and ending at the last device. The fire control panel would typical have a combinations of Smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points. Our CTEC fire control panels would boast 2, 4 or 8 conventional fire zones depending on the building’s layout and size.
Devices simply activate and there is no way of programming devices to activate in certain ways, so the system can be considered restricted or limited if you are looking for bespoke solutions. But suffice to say, conventional is usually 100% adequate. Multistory buildings and the like would be better suited for a programmable / addressable system.
